Performance
An integral part of the project is to demonstrate real-time, web-based performance tracking.
Access the website here:
- Username: guest
- Password: password
This provides guest-level access which allows the user to view data but not change setups.
The first time you access the site it will install Java applets on your computer. Follow the simple instructions and close your browser when done. This is a one-time only process.
All monitoring site names (locations) are pre-pended with AC or DC to easily choose points.
All AC points are monitored using one model 5530T EPQ DataNode. This is a 4-channel, 3-phase power quality, demand, energy monitoring instrument.
The names assigned to each location should be self-explanatory.
DC monitoring points are shared by two of the above-mentioned EPQ DatNodes. Since DC only requires one (V&I) instrument channel we can monitor several circuits with one instrument, i.e.:
The location called “DC OUT” is monitoring:
- Phase A: Flywheel Output
- Phase B: DC Load. Feed to DC racks
- Phase C: Rectifier output
Note: The voltage for each are connected in parallel and is the junction of where all three of these points come together. The current channels are assigned as mentioned above.
The location called “DC Racks” is monitoring:
- Phase A: DC rack, voltage and current
- Phase B: DC rack, voltage and current
Below are real time metering links to specific points for comparison.
